Construction will soon begin on the much-anticipated outlet mall in Robstown near US Highway 77. There will be room for 70 retailers, and all store spaces are anticipated to be leased by the time the outlet mall is open for business.
The economic boom in the Coastal Bend has produced a new market, one that other developers have overlooked. The outlet mall will be built near the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds. According to Rick Carduner, a partner with developers Dolphin Ventures, “The fact that the Corpus Christi economy is booming has really helped us attract tenets that previously were not interested in the market.”
Not only will this outlet mall provide jobs, but having the shopping center in place could provide the development needed to further attract new restaurants, theaters, and hotels.
