Corpus Christi City Council moves to take stand against wind farm

March 27, 2014 By Michael Stuart

P1020698 (Small)The Corpus Christi City Council took its first steps Tuesday in publicly opposing a proposed wind farm that opponents say would curb the city’s sprawling Southside growth. The area lies in an extra-territorial jurisdiction where the council has no administrative or judicial authority.

The council is hoping to register its opposition to the wind farm in a master plan now being developed by a Massachusetts consultant for the Corpus Christi area. The plan is due out in about 18 months.
